The meeting will be held in Takamatsu, Kagawa, which is located on the island of “Shikoku.” Shikoku is an island surrounded by the Seto Inland Sea and the Pacific Ocean, and is one of Japan’s most beautiful areas. Since ancient times, it has been called a “healing island.” It has a long history and original culture, and is an area blessed with excellent food and climate. Takamatsu is located as a gateway to Shikoku. Located in the center of Kagawa Prefecture, Takamatsu is the prefectural capital with a population of approximately 420,000. Takamatsu is also a city of scenic beauty and is located in a picturesque natural setting – islands blanketed in greenery; white boats and yachts shining brightly in the sun; the surface of the water glistening in the sunset – such gentle beauty of the Inland Sea attracts tourists and visitors, including those from overseas. Since ancient times, it has flourished along with the Seto Inland Sea as a castle town on the sea. The climate is mild with low precipitation throughout the four seasons.
